The issue of the security of gas supplies remains one of the major areas of EU-Russian energy relations. The aim of this article is to define and analyze the framework of EU-Russian gas relations. The text is based on the assumption that it is possible to define gas relations between Russia and the EU not as the unilateral energy dependency of one side on the other but as mutual dependence. For this reason, the article deals with the theory of interdependence and its application to EU-Russian gas relations. The paper also examines two possible scenarios for the development of gas relations between the EU and Russia.

Abstract The submitted contribution addresses problems concerning influence of alloying elements (Si/Fe/Mn) of Al-Si pressure die casts (HPDC) on values of residual deformation. On the basis of results of executed experiments, mutual correlations are analyzed and described, while not only measurements results are evaluated but also metallographic outputs of obtained compounds from the view of their formation, occurrence, and size. The development of intermetallic phases structures Al(FeMn)Si as well as intermetallic ferritic phase Al 3FeSi was observed. More verification experiments follow in order to apply obtained knowledge for improvement and/or preservation of casts properties on required level.
