I don't remember exactly, and I have to get to class, but it was related to the url from either a command module with just a gun or the command module with a gun and an engine. I think it was the letter i that changes to a b in the second one. There was, I think, a letter that gave the info ship. 'd' gives an info ship (). 't' gives a nemesis command module. 'u' gives an alpha command module. 'z' gives a bravo command module.
Gives command module india. There's also something that gives you a yellow circle, but I don't recall what. Hey thanks everyone. Having actual players (and paying ones at that) is really inspiring me to work as hard as possible on the followup. @cag - I know there's no excuse for poor spelling, but please understand that Captain Farbs is under a lot of pressure right now I'm not sure about Air support. Will have to think about it a bit. I'm also looking into different sizes in browser, but no promises yet.
Gold Cray, your URL hacking efforts frighten and amaze me. I honestly didn't think anyone would get that far. Also I have no idea what the yellow circle could be!
Unfortunately Flash has no capacity to capture or move the mouse pointer, so I can't snap it back into the screen. It makes a lot of sense that they don't allow this though.

I was specifically impressed by the engines, and how they respond exactly how you'd expect them to when attaching them various places on the ship. Everything feels extremely polished and the website is great. It'd be nice if there were more variations of enemy ships (and more types of parts), but I understand that the more randomized they get, the more likely it is for you to meet ships that are really easy to steal parts from. As it is now, though, every game pretty much starts out exactly the same because there are only like 3 or 4 variations of those green ships (or they are the only ones I ever see, anyway). But basically the more variety this game has, the better it's going to be. Any features beyond more parts and more enemies will just be icing on the cake.

Also, things that could be improved: -Right now it's rather hard to see if a part is damaged or not without clicking on it and looking at its little info box. I know they blink/get dimmer when they're hurt, but I don't notice it most of the time. Making the effect more obvious would be helpful (but if it's too obvious, it'll probably get annoying/give seizures). -There are two shades of purple that are rather hard to tell apart (at least for me), so I end up having to separately click each part just to make sure my ship will be balanced. Basically I'm fine with initially clicking a part to see what it does, but I'm not into clicking each and every part individually because the visual in-game clues are too subtle. Other than those minor niggles, amazing game and I can't wait for updates! For some reason I can't get this game to run on my school's computers.
It shows the loading bar, but then just shows a blank screen. If I right click, it shows the flash 10 right click menu, so I think it's loading and I have a new enough version of flash. Is it possible that the game won't run if you don't have a soundcard installed? Y'know, I think it is possible.
I'll try to get a non-audio dependent build out today. EDIT: New build out to address audio problems. Can you try again please? « Last Edit: September 10, 2009, 05:25:22 PM by Farbs » Logged.
